Back in 1998, we had the immense privilege of meeting Bill Buschel, a radio producer for Hellenic Public Radio – COSMOS FM in New York. His passion for Greece, and particularly our home island of Karpathos, led to an invitation to present our island’s music and poetry on his acclaimed show, Graffiti. In this episode, we remember the incredible journey—from Bill’s introduction to the Aegean Sea to a focused spotlight on Karpathos and Kassos. As Apella Nota, we were honored to share our cultural roots with an audience of over 200,000 listeners in the US. This podcast is dedicated to the memory of Bill Buschel, recognizing his deep love for Greece and our island.
